Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!!!! 2010 Allen Hopkins Super Billiard Expo
I decided to play the Wednesday Warm-up in hopes of getting some table time in order to sharpen up my stroke for the Diamond Pro Players 10-Ball Championship which started the next day. They broke down the field of over 200 into groups of 8 so all you had to do was win 3 matches to get the cheese!!! $400 to be exact. I played good in both my first and second round matches to advance to the final match where I started off strong winning my first 2 games. We were playing race to 3 games, best 2 out of 3 sets! My opponent made the 9 on the break and lucked out another game and he won the first set 3 to 2. The 2nd set started out the same way and he had me at 2 games apiece with a shot on the 8 ball for the win but he hung it up in the corner! At that point I told myself, "That's it for you....your done!!!!!" I won that game to tie it up at 1 set each and I focused on the final set that was next. I made quick work of that set and got on the hill first 2 games to 1. He tied up the match to force the final rack. He made a few balls on the break and after making the 1 ball he left himself a bank on the 2 ball or a 2-8 combo into the corner pocket. He played the bank and came up short. I was left with the 2 ball in the corner which I made drawing the cue down the rail leaving myself a shot on the 4 ball into the side pocket. I played a stop shot on the 4 ball leaving myself an easy 7-9 combo into the corner pocket which I put down to take first place and the cash!!! $400, not a bad start to the week!!!

2009 US Open 9-Ball Championships
The "Kentucky Colonel" gets FRIED!!! I had to play hall of famer Nick Varner in my 2nd round match and I was pumped!! I started out great and I was making everything taking a 2 game lead. Nick wasn't playing good and I was taking advantage of his mistakes. He started playing better and closed the match to within 1 at 4 to 3 in favor of me. I was playing great and getting some rolls, I clipped the 9 ball when I banked at the 2 ball and it was sent all the way up the table and fell into the corner pocket and I made the 9 on the break for another game.
I jumped out to a 9 to 3 lead and I felt like I could close it out 11 to 3 or 4. That's when the momentum switched!!! I found myself on the wrong side of the ball often and Varner was playing better and he was closing the gap with every game, 9 to 4,5,6,7,8,9 and then he took the hill first!!! Now I was behind 10 to 9 and I only really missed one 8 ball!! Momentum was definitely on his side and I was watching this match slip away!!! I was at the table in the 20th game and I had to play a safe on the 2 ball, Nick hit it and left me a tough shot. At this point I took my break. I went to the bathroom and I kicked myself in the butt and told myself, I WAS NOT GOING TO LOSE THIS MATCH...I CAME TOO FAR TO LET THIS ONE SLIP AWAY!!! I recomposed myself and I built up my confidence and headed out back to the table. I was determined not to let Varner back to the table. I made a great shot lefty to get position on the 3 ball, I ran to the 5 ball and missed. After a short safty battle on the 5, I went on to win that game setting up a hill hill thriller!!!! I broke the next rack and had to play safe on the one but I left him a tough shot. He made the 1 ball but failed to draw back far enough to carom the cue ball off the 2 ball to pocket the 8 ball in the side so he decided to play safe behind the 8. That's when he made his mistake. The 2 ball did not touch a rail!!!!!! FOUL!!!! I jumped up with ball in hand and I knew I had him at this moment! I examined the table for a moment and I saw all the shots and the pattern was set for the run out. I calmly played each ball exactly how I wanted to and before I knew it I was dead straight on the 9 ball into the corner pocket. I made the 9 and I let the fist pump fly!!!!!!!!!

2009 JOSS Northeast 9-Ball Tour Stop #8
ROBLES GETS BEAT.......FINALLY!!! I was matched up against Tony Robles on the 1-loss side at the last Joss event at Comet Billiards and I was hoping this match would not go the way of all the last matches I played against him....down hill! The match started off pretty much the same way they all did and I found myself in a 4 to 1 hole. I was thinking not again!! I was thinking this guy has some kind of Kryptonite in his pocket and I cant defend against it! LOL! Then I started to play better and I started to climb out of the hole. I eventually tied up the match and then took a small lead! Tony had missed some shots and I took advantage every time. I won a few more games and found myself on the hill first!! I lined up my shot on the 8 which I made and the cue ball was settling into position on the 9 and that's when Tony conceded the match!!!
FINALLY!!! ONLY 1 MONKEY LEFT!

2008 US Open 9-Ball Championships
I had to play Jeremy Jones in the second round, no need to tell you who this guy is, he won the US Open in 2003!! We started off strong and it went rack for rack for a while. I received some good breaks and took advantage of some easy 9-ball combos to keep it close at 5 racks apiece. He started to pull ahead and he took a strong lead reaching the hill first 10 to 6! At this point I was just happy knowing that it stayed close for as long as it did and I thought maybe this was not going to be my match to win! He was on the hill and he broke DRY!!! I calmly looked over the rack and ran it out for the win. I was talking with a guy who was watching and I said "now I only need 4 more racks just like that one!" He looked at me like,YEAH RIGHT!!! YOU DON'T HAVE A CHANCE!! I broke the next rack and made a ball, looked over the rack and calmly ran that rack out also for another win! On my way back to my seat I looked at that guy again and said, " I only need another 3 racks just like that one!" and he looked at me like SURE!! THAT WILL HAPPEN!! Again I made a ball on the next break and I ran out that rack also for another win! I looked a t him again and I said, " I only need 2 more racks just like that one!!" This time he looked at me like WHO IS THIS GUY!!! I broke the next rack, made a ball and ran out that rack making it 4 racks in a row!! I went back to my seat and I said, " the number is getting smaller isn't it I only need 1 more rack like that one!!" He looked at me like HOLY SHIT!!! He couldn't believe it! I broke dry on the HILL HILL rack and we started a 6 inning safety battle on the 1 ball. I out moved him the whole way and he let me see the 1 ball first! I thought about playing safe again but I new I could run the rack for the win so that's what I started to do! I just focused on making each shot with the english needed to get position on the next ball! Before I knew it I was on the 9 ball! I went back to my seat to get a drink and settle my nerves a bit, I did not want to come this far and NOT close out this match! My hands were shaking a bit so I relaxed, took a deep breath and played the 9 ball down the rail into the corner pocket for the win!!! WHAT A GREAT COME FROM BEHIND WIN!!! I caught a gear and Jeremy paid the price! That 9-ball was for the match and the cheese, $750 to be exact!!

Master Billiards, Queens, NY, Predator 9-Ball Tour, Stop #12
I was playing on the 1-loss side and I had to play Mike Tesado. This kid can play pretty good so I knew I would have to give the match my full attention! I started off slowly playing pretty poorly. We traded racks back and forth so the match was close almost the entire way. Every time I tied the match up, I scratched and he ran out the rack for the win!! He would just not FADE AWAY!!! He actually took the lead at 8 to 6!! Everything I did just did not work! I tried to give him the set a few times after that but he just did not want to take it and gave me opportunity to get back into the match! I won the next game bringing the score to 8 to 7. He broke after that leaving me a full table jump on the 1! The 1 was about 2 feet from the 9 which was close to the corner so I decided to go for it!! I hit it pretty good banking the 1 out of the way sending the cue into the 9 ball sending it into the corner for the HILL HILL THRILLER!!! I broke good in the final rack and smoothly ran out for the win!!!

Raxx Pool Room, Tuesday night weekly open 9-Ball event
I was playing pretty well and I had to play Oscar Bonilla in my 3rd round match. This guy can play great when he's on!! He started out in total control and left me nothing to shoot at except the rails! He took a commanding 4 to 0 lead in a race to 5!! But... You guys should know me by now... I NEVER GIVE UP!! I finally had a shot on the 2 ball in the 5th rack and I ran out the rack for my first win! I broke and made a ball in the 6th rack and I ran the table out to the 9 ball which I missed and left him with what I thought would be a makeable rail first spin shot into the corner. I thought it would be over at this point be he missed it and hung it up in the jaws giving me another game. Now the score was 4 to 2 in favor of him... but I was breaking!! I broke the 7th rack made a ball and ran out the rack! I broke the 8th rack, made 4 balls on the break and ran out the rest making it a HILL HILL THRILLER!! Then I proceeded to break the 9th rack, pocket a ball and run out that rack for a HUGH upset hitting him with a 3-PACK to win the match!! I just love the come-from-behind wins!!!

Park Slope Billiards, Park Slope, Brooklyn Predator 9-Ball Stop #11
I played well enough to make it to the cash rounds on Sunday, and can you guess who I had to play??? None other than Shin Park, aka, GODZILLA!! He had just beaten me badly the week before in Stamford CT. to get into 3rd place by a score of 9 to 0! Well I wasn't having any of that today! I started out strong and kept on getting stronger! I was determined to get my revenge on him. I was playing great and I started out with a strong 4 to 1 lead. I took control of the match and I kept him in his chair for a long time. Whenever he made a bad mistake, I took a bit longer to take my next shot, just to make sure he had plenty of time to think about his mistake and get more frustrated! Before I knew it I had him 7 to 1!! He missed the 8 ball in the next rack and I had a really easy two ball out for a score of 8 to 1 and that is when he gave me the match! He knew it would be easier for him to get up Mt. Everest, at night, in a canoe, than it would be for him to win that match!! HAPPY CLIMBING!!

Rack 'n Roll Billiards, Stamford, CT, Predator 9-Ball Tour, Stop #10
I had just come off a great 2nd round win against Mhet Vergara 8 to 5, and I had to play Victor Nau for my 3rd round match. This guy is sneaky good! He is not afraid to fire in anything from anywhere and he usually makes'em!! The match started off slowly and we traded the first few racks. At 2 apiece, I started to make some mistakes and I was playing poorly. Before I knew it he had a 6 to 2 lead and I figured this was just not going to be my match to win. Once again I did not give up!!! You can't give up ever!! I started playing better and I was getting out when I had to! My safety game was strong and that let me get back into the match! In no time I was on the hill first 7 to 6! Now I was determined to win this match. Victor won the next rack setting up a HILL HILL THRILLER!! We both joked about him making the 9 on the break and I said that he should have to make at least 3 or 4 balls first before making the 9! Then he broke and the 9 went straight for the corner. It would have been spotted (Predator rules for making the 9 into the bottom corners!) had it gone in but it hung on the lip.....and he had a clear shot on the 1!! All he had to do was make the 1 and he would have had a straight on combination 3 9 for the win! I was thinking to myself that this was it... he would not miss this... OH GREAT!! What a way to lose such a great match! To be honest, at this point I asked CLICK to help me out a bit! CLICK was the nickname of my grandfather on my mothers side. He died before I was born so I never knew him. He played pool in Canada where my mother was from and he got that nickname from the sound the balls made when he hit them! I was told he was quite a good player! I quietly asked CLICK to help me out a bit before Victor played the 1 and would you believe CLICK heard my prayer, because Victor missed the 1 ball!!!! I could not believe it!! I didn't have a shot for the 1 but I could play a 2-rail carom off the 1 into the 9. I looked it over for a while trying to figure out the best way to go at the 9. Left off the 1 would only give me a small chance at the 9 but going off the right side of the 1 would give me at least 5 or 6 ways to make the 9! I could hit it straight in, I could hit into the 6 for a 6 9 combo, I could carom off the 6 into the 9, I could combo the 4 or the 3 into the 9, or carom off the 4 into the 9. I had so many more opportunities to make 9 going at it from the right side of the 1 and that also would leave Victor safe from the 1 had I missed the 9! I chalked up my cue and went at it!! The cue ball came around 2 rails and it was headed into the 4. The cue ball hit the 4 just shy of a full ball hit and wouldn't you know it the 4 was heading towards the 9!! The 4 ball hit the rail just before the corner pocket and it ran into the 9 with just enough speed to nudge the 9 ball into the pocket!!! That was one of my greatest come from behind wins ever!!! THANKS CLICK, I OWE YOU ONE!!!

Blaze Pro-Am, Skyline Billiards, 5/18/08
I was playing "Flaco" Tony Rodriguez to get into the hot seat match and I had just come of 3 great wins earlier in the tournament. I felt I could go all the way for my first win but that feeling would quickly go away! The match started off rough and it got worse from there. I made a 9 and then scratched and then I scratched on a 7-ball and then I scratched again! I all but gave him the set!! He was up 6 to 2 on a race to 7 and I figured it was just not going to be my day! BUT....I DID NOT GIVE UP!!! I clawed my way back into the match winning rack after rack. I even stuck him on 3 fouls for another rack! All of a sudden it was a HILL HILL thriller!! I had the break and had to play safe on the 2-ball. He missed his kick and that gave me my chance to close out the match! I was going to try and get him on 3 again but I did not like how I was going to play my 3rd safe so I decided to try the run out! I had ball in hand on the 2 and I had to play a slight draw shot to nudge the 7-ball away from the 3 which I made and that cleared the way for my escape!! I ran the rack to the 8 and I had to play the 8 into the top corner with high right spin to come 2 rails down for the 9 into the bottom corner. As soon as I hit the 8 I raised a fist pump knowing I hit it sweet and I would get on the 9 for the win and one of my most toughest come from behind wins ever!! This match proves a point that I teach to my students, NEVER...NEVER...NEVER GIVE UP ON A MATCH, YOU JUST MIGHT WIN!!!

SoHo Billiards, Egg Harbor, NJ, Predator 9-Ball Tour stop #4, 3.23.2008
I had already made it into the cash rounds but I wanted to go farther!! I was matched up against Joey Kong, who can really play great!!! He won the first game by kicking 2 rails into the 5 which hit two rails and then the 9 sending it into the corner pocket!! Not a lucky start for me but I didn't let that phase me at all!! I knew I could beat this guy. I kept my head down and focused on every shot and I soon had a 7 to 2 lead!! I was playing great and he lucked in another 9 so I figured I had him beat!! Then I started to leak a little oil!!!! He made some nice shots winning some racks and I gave away some other racks with some missed shots. He was closing the gap with a score of 7 to 5! I made the 9 on the break into the side with a little help from a friendly kiss off the cue putting me on the hill!! Joey missed early into the next rack and I started my run-out. I made some nice shots to get on the 9 which was a long straight in shot along the long rail into the corner pocket. I wasn't comfortable hitting the shot into the small pocket and I rattled it and it came out across the table giving him an easy 9 in the opposite corner for another game. I started to worry a bit about giving the match away and then he scratched on his break!!! I cleaned off my hands and then I put my case on my chair because I was determined not to sit down again!!! I took ball in hand, looked over the table and knew I could run the rack out for the win! I took my time, I concentrated on every shot, I kept my focus in between the rails, and I calmly ran out the rack for the set!!! SWEET VICTORY!!!!

Atlantic City Billiards, Egg Harbor, NJ, Blaze Tour Championship, 1.26.2008
I was matched up against Jorge Rodriquez in the first round on the front table! This guy can play!!! He is one of the top players in NY, so I knew it would be a tough match to win! I started off playing very poorly and he took advantage jumping out to a 7 to 2 lead in a race to 9. I was afraid I was letting this one slip away, and I did not want to loose my first match!! I started playing better, I received some good rolls, and I started my climb back into the match!!! Before I knew it, I was on the HILL, 8 to 7!!! Jorge won the next game making it a HILL HILL THRILLER!!! Jorge played the last rack perfectly and he was on the 8, a very tight cut shot into the side would leave him an easy 9 for the win but he over cut the shot!!! I played the 8 into the same side pocket with left inside spin to keep the cue from going two rails into the side and I hit it too hard sending the cue towards the bottom corner!!!! It stopped just before rolling into the pocket giving me an easy shot on the 9 which Jorge gave me for the win!!! WHAT A GREAT COME FROM BEHIND WIN!!!! NEVER...NEVER...NEVER...GIVE UP ON A MATCH UNTIL IT'S OVER!!!! YOU JUST MIGHT WIN IT!!!

Leisure Time Billiards, Levittown NY, Blaze Pro-Am Tour, 12.2.2007
The BLAZE PRO-AM TOUR came to LEISURE TIME on Sunday Dec, 2 and I couldn't wait to play!!! I was 80 points behind the points leader MATT KRAH and with only two points events left I needed to make my move!! I had just come off a win in my first match against Eddie Abraham who is one of the best players on the east coast, by a score of 7 to 2!!! I was pumped!!!! I had to face Mark Vidal next. This guy had Efren Reyes HILL HILL at this years US OPEN!! The last time this event was at Leisure Time, I played Mark and let a 3 to 1 lead slip away with some bad play on my part, and was determined not to let that happen again!! I started off strong and took a 4 to 1 lead! He won the next game and I followed that with a win myself getting to 5 to 2 in the match. I was in control of the match and them the momentum switched!! He was getting some rolls and closed the gap to 5 to 3, 5 to 4 and then he tied it up at 5 apiece!! I started to worry I was letting this match slip away also so I focused all my energy on my task at hand. I stayed within the rails and I did not think about who I was playing! I broke off the 11th game and made a ball on the break and had a shot on the next ball. It was not an easy road map so I had my work cut out for me. I stayed focused and in control and took the game for a 6 to 5 lead!!! I made it to the HILL!! Mark played well the next game and took the match to HILL HILL! I broke the last game, made a ball and had shape on the next ball. The match was in reach, and again I stayed focused on what I had to do! This out was even harder than the last one but I was playing well and I knew I could take down the match If I stayed in control. I simply played my game and ran out the tough rack for the win!!!

Raxx Weekly Open 9-Ball Tournament, Raxx Pool Room, Bar & Grill, 11.20.2007
I had to play George "Ginky" San Souci for the winners side finals of the Tuesday night RAXX open event!! He's one of the best 9-ball players around having won a few major pool events!! He broke first, not sinking anything, leaving me an open table. I calmly ran out that rack and broke and ran the next for a 2 to 0 lead!! I played within myself, not letting who I was playing affect me!! I stayed "inside the rails"!! I stayed calm and took advantage of any mistakes GINKY made and took the match 5 to 1 for a place in the FINALS!!! Beating a top player like GINKY to get in the finals of an open even by a score of 5 to 1 was a great boost to my confidence!!!

Atlantic City Billiards, Egg Harbor, NJ, Blaze Pro-Am Tour, 1.28.2007
I was knocked to the one loss side by Bill Smith Jr. in a close hill hill match and was matched up against Carmine Lombardo, a well know top player from the NY, NJ area! It was a short race to 5 and I told Carmine that it would probably go hill hill just to make it exciting.... and it did!!! The match was pretty much a back and forth battle with both of us making some pretty great shots and it came down to a hill hill thriller! In the last rack! Carmine was at the table shooting on the 6, a long full table straight on shot into the middle of the end rail. He tried to hit the 6 straight on making a double the rail hit sending the cue ball back to the other end of the table leaving the 6 around where it was leaving me in a tough spot! Unfortunately, he hit it just off center, leaving me a long cut on the 6 into the corner, which I made and got on the 7 for the run out and a great win in a close hill hill match against a strong opponent!!

Drexeline Billiards, Drexel Hill, PA, Blaze Pro-Am Tour, 8.5.2007
I was matched up against a great young player late in the tournament named Brandon Shuff! I knew this kid could play, and he just recently won his first Tiger Pool Tour event which proves it! I was playing great but had just lost to Mike Davis, putting me in 5th. I took control of the match and pulled ahead 4 to 0, on a race to 5! As he was racking up to break he said he only need to run 5 and out, to which I said, go for it! He only managed to win 1 rack, and I took the next game for the match win!! Winning the set 5 to 1 against a great player late in the tournament was a great boost for my confidence. I won my next match but had to settle for a 3rd place finish!! Not bad for a strong 55 player field!!

Raxx Pool Room, Bar & Grill, West Hempstead, NY, Blaze Pro-Am Tour, 9.30.2007
I was unlucky enough to be matched up with Eddie Abraham in the first round of this event. Eddie is probably one of the strongest players around and I had already lost to him twice at two other Blaze events, one was a 7 to 0 blow out, but that is another story!! I had been playing very well lately, so I knew I had a chance of winning! I stayed focused at the table and I just played my game. I did NOT play my opponent! I wanted very much to get past this guy and with some strong play on my part and some not so great play on his part, I did just that, by winning the match 7 to 2!!!!!! Turns out, he was unlucky enough to draw me for that first match!!! I finished the tournament in 7th, not a great finish but it did help me increase my 1st place lead on the points list!!

Q-Ball Billiards, Vineland, NJ, Blaze Pro-Am Tour, 9.23.2007
I was matched up in my first round against a strong player named Jay Jones. The guy has been around a while and he really plays great! He only missed 2 balls the entire set! We went back and forth, with him taking an early lead and me catching up. He played safe really well so I spent a lot of the game kicking at balls. The match went hill hill and I set him up to get him on 3 fouls for the win! He was on 2 fouls and I locked him up with a great safe that even Efren Reyes wouldn't have hit!!! He missed it and I won the match!!!! That was a really close match that I didn't have to win! I played Bill Smith JR., in a later round that also went hill hill! It wasn't a pretty match with both of us missing stuff and we both had some bad position play but it was exciting!!! He was on the hill this match with a 6 to 5 lead and he was breaking for the win! He couldn't get out, and I ran out the rack for the hill hill match with me breaking for the win!! I sank a ball and I was off!!!!! I stayed focused at the table, staying "in between the rails", and I ran out the tough rack for the victory and another really close match that I didn't have to win!!!!! Winning both tough matches help me set up a 4th place finish out of 40 players and I secured first place on the Blaze Pro-Am points list!!!!

This Tournament had a smaller turn out than normal, but I was still spotting everybody the 5!!! I had to play my good friend Clay in the first round, and giving him the 5, I knew it would be difficult to win!! Clay is a good player, and getting the 5, he should be the favorite. The set started off with him getting almost all the rolls and he was winning the set 5 to 2 on a race to 6! That's when I started my comeback! I played really well and took advantage when I could. I tied the set up a 5 apiece and then ran out the last rack for the hard fought win and a really nice come from behind victory!!! Sorry Clay!!!!! I ended up finishing 3rd.

Drexeline Billiards, Drexel Hill, PA, Blaze Pro-Am Tour, 1.1.2007
I was playing really well into the tournament when I was matched up in a late round with an excellent young player, Adam Kieler. He was playing very well and managed a 4 to 0 lead! Coming back from a 4 game deficit is hard enough to do especially against a strong player!! I had to do something! So I took my break, washed up, had a small talk with myself and got back to business!! Within no time I had tied up the match with some excellent play and started pulling ahead! He seemed to be bothered by something and wasn't playing the same as he was at the start of the match. I stayed focused at the table and took advantage of his bad play and pulled off another great comeback, winning the match 7 to 4! I consider this win one of my greatest victories because I never gave up!!! Being down 4 games and winning 7 games in a row against a great player using alternate breaks, really is very difficult and I am proud of my accomplishment!

Leisure Time Billiards, Levittown NY, Blaze Pro-Am Tour, 5.6.2007
I had the good fortune to play one of the greatest 9-ball players ever!!! None other than Earl "The Pearl" Strickland!! He had just come off a rare loss to Liz Ford so I knew he wasn't playing his best. Not to take anything away from Liz (she was playing great)! The set started with me kicking at the 1 Ball which I made in the corner which set up the rest of the rack for a run out making the score 1 to 0, in favor of me! I knew at that point I had him!!! I played flawlessly the entire set missing only 1 ball (a long cut up the rail on a 7ball, just missing)! I would have probably shot a high .900 ACCU-STATS TPA!!! only missing that 1 ball!!! I had him 6 to 3 with him having a difficult combo on the 4 and 5 which he missed handing me the set for a 7 to 3 win!!!! I played a nearly flawless set in my home room full of all my friends making that one of the greatest wins I have had yet!!

Gotham Billiards, North Bergen, NJ, Blaze Pro-Am Tour, 3.4.2007
I had the luck of drawing none other than MIKE DAVIS for my first round match!! YES the same MIKE DAVIS that was on this years MOSCONI CUP team!!! He's a great player so I knew it would be a hard match! I was firing right out of the gate taking the first rack and then banking in the 9 on the second rack for a two game lead! H wasn't playing that great and I managed a 5 to 3 game lead with a tough cut on the 9 to make it 6 to 3 but I missed it letting DAVIS back into the match!!You really shouldn't let DAVIS back into any match because he usually just rolls right over you for the win! BUT... he wasn't playing that great! the match went hill hill and I left him safe on the 3. It wasn't a great safe so I fully expected to be left hooked when I got back to the table! But to my surprise he missed the 3!!! I made sure to take the correct shot on the 3, hitting it just off center into the corner with draw to bring the cue into the center of the table for a shot on the 4 into the corner diagonally across the the 3 ball pocket! I then cut the 4 into that corner with a high cue ball bringing the cue back into the center of the table for a shot on the 6 next!! He rearranged the balls when he missed the 3 so I now had a carom off the 6 into the 9 for the win! I looked the shot over for a minute or two and then I hit the 6 perfectly sending the cue into the 9 sending that into the center of the corner pocket for the win!!! YYYEEEAAAAHHHHH!!!!! I just beat the best in the field!!! It was a great win for me to help build up my confidence!!!
Fingers Pool Tip
"Play the Cue Ball Until it Stops Rolling!!!"
Whenever you are planning out your next shot, you should always look to see exactly where the cue ball will be traveling to. Follow the path of the cueball in your mind and determine exactly where it will stop! A lot of times people look to see where the cueball needs to go and they play for general position, they do not focus on exactly where the cueball will come to rest. This will often lead to scratches or bad position! Follow that path until the cueball comes to a stop and if it looks like it might even come close to a pocket or behind a ball then you need to adjust the English and speed you hit the cueball with to make sure it doesn't hit a pocket or stop behind a ball!! I've lost more than 1 match because I did not follow the path of the cueball until it stopped and I paid the price!!! Ralf Souquet and Yu Ram Cha both owe me one!!!
